The Glory of God
We visited St Lawrence church to explore ways in which it had been designed to reflect the ‘Glory of God’.
Moths
We had a visitor come to school to talk to us about Moths and how they use camouflage to adapt and survive just like the peppered moth did.
Inheritance
We made Mr and Mrs Men to show inheritance of characteristics.
Moving Toys
Composing Music
As a class, we composed music using natural materials just like they would have done in the past.
Escape from Pompeii
We created volcanoes to show the different types of volcanoes and the vocabulary associated with them linking to the book ‘Escape from Pompeii’.
Fossils
Some children in Year 5 were so fascinated with our work on fossils that they brought in their own fossils to share with the class. We also made our own salt dough fossils as part of instructional writing.
